If your baby shows any one of the symptoms described below, ask your pediatrician for an immediate evaluation :

No smiles or expressions of joy at the age of six months or more

No exchanges of sounds, smiles or other facial expressions at the age of nine months or more

No babbling at one year of age

No gestures such as pointing, indicating or trying to grasp an object at the age of one year

No words at the age of 16 months

No clear verbal association which is not imitation at the age of two

Loss of language, abilities or regression at any age
